TT - hang in there - try not to stress about the "what if's" because it is what it is and there is nothing that can be done about it! I had the same job since 1992! so now it's time to look around for a new one - scarry stuff but....! Liz was talking about the "support groups" and she mentioned the Yahoo lapband group - said that there is 1 person on there who posts like she had a medical dagree and she doesn't and that annoys her. so maybe it's not us that she keeps referring too - Hmmm?

JOHN SO GLAD YOU'RE HOME SAFE & SLEEVED. Your mom sure is a nice lady - Where is your accent hahaha. Ok, so you didn't bare A** it to the Wednesday group so maybe you will make it to the point west - Nikki is welcome to come too - She's rare, not many women are beautiful AND nice... well, accept us girls... hahahaha -

TamTam - hang in there girlfriend. If you stick to it and lose at least 10lbs you should get a fill and things will be so so so much better - try to skip the Robin appt cuz she will stop you from getting your fill when she finds out what you've been up to LOL LOL LOL

Hey Lee - why the liver biopsy??? It is a sleeve thing? I had the hernia thing too - and just like you, I had no clue LOL. keep us posted on how your recovery is going! Please thank Bonnie for us too!!

Speaking of hernia - COCO, how's your heart burn??

Hi Heather - sure wish I enjoyed being sore too!

Reggie - i went to call you tonight and realized that i only have your address in my phone - not your number so PM it to me PLZ - I will PM you mine too!

I'm all lonely on here right now - I am the only one online

Nicole L. where the hell have you been young lady - If you can get on FB, you can get on here to say hi to us too!!!

Riley Jane - Chris just might get lynched if he keeps you away from us much longer!!!!

Just a quick note. I've been up every four hours to take pain meds and sip a little. Sipping really hurts. Temp is a little up, but not more than in hospital. I want to walk around a little, maybe watch a little tv and go back to sleep. Sleeve surgery is not worse than I expected, actually maybe a little better than expected, but it still hurts like a MoFo.

John, good to read that you're doing ok. We'll compare notes later. In a few days we won't remember how this felt and we'll be so happy to see the scale moving down.

I love reading how the rest of you are doing! Hey, how come I didn't get to see you all on Wednesday night? I think I was pretty darn out of it. I barely remember Bonnie coming by.

Lee - glad it's going well and you're so right that you won't remember this part when the scale starts movin on down. You didn't see us Wednesday night because Bonnie said that you didn't want us to come by - she reitterated that you did NOT want visitors. Sorry if that was incorrect as we would have loved to stop by and check on you.

GO TAMTAM - IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY - GO TAMTAM. I am so jealous - I didn't lose that much weight and I didn't cheat - no fries or anything! Ah, the price you pay for getting old  Happy for you!!

Mornign Ladies!!!!

I'm getting close to pre-op goal... My scale said 232!!!!!!! 7lbs left Wooo Hooo

Lee and John I hope you all feel better soon. Before you know it I will be on here complaining that I am in pain from the sleeve and you two will tell me to shut up lol!

Ok so i think I only got a chance to tell Mo the update on the baby situation. So I will fill you all in. His paternal (fathers mom) grandmother came and picked him up on Wed. after I found out that he had a realy bad ear and throught infection that was lingering from Dec. when his mom last brought him into Kaiser. Since I was taking my baby in for his pre-op apt. to make the final decision on ear tubes, I had my sons pedi. check out the baby too. Turns out he had that infection and spread it to my son. So now that my son has another ear infection he HAS to have tubes. They are scheduled for March 1st. at 8 AM. So I called member services and asked for the exact quoat of my deductable since i had been given 2 different amounts the last time we went through this. And the guy I talked to said $1,445!!!! So I asked him if I have to pay that up front and he said no that I can make admiting bill me and they are not alowed to refuse us health services as long as it is not cosmetic or infertility. So I clarified that I can also do the same with the sleeve operation and he said yes. As long as I give them something from $20 to the full amount then ask them to bill me they will and I can then set up payment plans at 0% intrest since both the tubes and WLS are for the benifit of ones overall health!

This is good news since I only have $2,200 to split between both my son's and my surgeries after i had to pay some bills.

Well that is the low down LOL!

I hope that everyone is doing well.

Tamra - i'm excited for your weight loss and wishing you will get a fill.

Heather when is your next apointment?

Hey everyone,

Thanks for keeping John and me in your thoughts.

Tamra, my son is flying in tonight from NYC and will be here until Tuesday morning to take care of me. Bonnie is coming this afternoon and another friend tonight. Thank you so much for the offer!!

Candra, I was in the recovery room until 4:30 and had a really bad go of it in recovery. I just remember crying a lot. I probably did tell Bonnie that I didn't want visitors. I know she only stayed a moment. I was pretty messed up. But heck, now two days later, I don't remember how bad it was. That's the good thing about surgery, it starts to fade quickly.

I was up every three hours to take pain meds in the night. Takes me 5 minutes to get down 1 tablespoon and a sip of Water. Tiny sips from the sippy cup feel like elephant stomping on my stomach. I know that will be get better.

All's good here. I love reading how you're all doing! Tamra, pick a scale, any scale and get off the other one!

My scale is 230 this morning so the surgery weight is leaving quickly. Was 228.8 on the morning of surgery. My scale weighs exactly the same as Kaiser. I'm hoping for a very good 1st month.

Back to walking around......

No one told me wait a week to weigh myself, I did it every day after the surgery!

Lee I cant pick a scale, I don't trust either one of them LOL!! Glad your son is coming, yay!

So I am doing a food log to take with me on request by Robin...should i be honest about my coffees or casually leave them off?

Breakfast: 1 grande skinny vanilla latte...I thought it was a tall but when I realized it took me almost 3 hrs to drink it was big.....3 oz lean ground beef with 1 oz cheese grated on top

am I doing this stage right?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
