Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

Honestly, I think once the bruising goes away and the extra blood is cleaned off - and I have stitches so when those are gone it will look alot better. Hard to really see cuz my boobs are in the way but that's my rationalization anyway.

you have stitches? I only have glue. But you are right they will be fine. And mine will be too once I put aloe vera on them.

Funny you should ask, Nicole, cuz I have no idea. Just what I was told when I was little so it just always "was". Because I've had it as long as I can remember, I assume you are born with it. My father use to get many blood transfusions for it - I never have. never will! So, for me, this doesn't really look bad. That is until I see somebody elses LOL

Hi Ladies, yep, u gals are feelin better, cause u rested all day, and now ready to roll! Your incisions, look pretty clean, that bruising will go away quick, Candra, but be careful with the soap, even if its family (germs). Wanna keep them as clean as possible. So glad u ladies are a walkin well with Water and west!(rest) Get em Nicole, like the online nursing staff hehe...love you ladies, and glad you are banded and ready to roll (not on the port)lol.

Hey Donna! It's liquid soap. funny cuz my brother and husband both use bar soap and they have their own individual soaps in travel containers in the shower. I only use Dove soft soap (liquid) because it's the gentlest on my skin, I can only use dove deoderant too or I get lumps under my arms - I'm just so weird.

Jes, it is swollen, I can feel it - the whole upper section is but you're right, not bloated or full of gas - seriously, NO GAS. Are you sure you passed the pregnancy test LOL

I do look like I've been assasinated though hahahaha

the monokini will be just fine for you. I told you I have a dot to dot candy cane.

Don't worry my shop is closed no more babies for me .

Gosh my tummy is growling away but I'm not hungry. I can't believe I had a popsicle for dinner and I'm happy.

I had Water for dinner - like I said, all of a sudden I feel this pressure in the center of my boobs and about an inch down - don't want to eat or drink anything! i think I'm loving this band thing already LOL.. Hopefully, when I weigh myself in the morning I'll be smaller than 197

I don't feel my band yet, only the port. I drink and everything goes down like before. Maybe by Saturday I'll feel something like you. I even took my pills today, no problem.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
