Nicole, did you say that crab legs are the easiest of the crab meat to get down? If I buy some of the legs at costco, what do I do with them when I get them home? Do you still dip it in butter?

Sounds good what time should we meet up for the walk 10???

Chris: King crab i think is the besssst! But all them are pretty good, dungenous is my least fav now a days.. And all the crab is easy its lobster that the claws are the easiest..

But if you buy it from anywhere you take it home and can boil it to warm it.. and you can dip it in butter but if its good crab it should be sweet enough without..

On the Bariatric Eating site they have a sauce you can make too i haven't tried it yet... Crab is just awesome cause it breaks up way easier then fish lol. And it has a great flavor.

Jess, that is good that its going up, less temptation...

HMMM now i want CRAB!!! Got some king crab in the freezer:D

I'm exercising my resistance muscle tonight! But that's basically only because I strengthened my "give in" muscle earlier. Ugh.

Tina, bring those darn wheat thins on Saturday. We'll stage an intervention for you!

Why am I still up?! I have to be up at 5:30 tomorrow! *scolding myself*

I can do lunch either Thursday or Friday.

Tina, I don't know if I'm gonna be super tight or not, I'm just anticipating it and trying to prepare for it so I'm not surprised, lol.

Nicole, thanks for all the crab tips. I'm gonna try that this weekend. I haven't had crab in forever!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
