Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

Donna - I didn't go on any rides at Six Flags - I am afraid of heights so that leaves most of them out.

I start work every day at 6:30 am so I can pick my kids up at 3 pm when they are in school - plus the traffic is better earlier.

I went over to AAA on my lunch break to get my insurance changed over to my "newer" car. I improved the coverage some and increased the deductible a little and it ended up being $100 less per year than my mini van. I had checked with Geico, but they wouldn't insure my house because I have a trampoline. So I stayed with AAA.

I drank a Protein Drink for lunch and just had 1/2 bag of corn nuts 110 cal , 2 g Protein. Boy am I full. At least I figured out I was full before I ate too many. Amazing what happens when we actually listen to our bodies/pouches.

Gotta get back to my spreadsheet I am working on.

Tamra that's what happens when you eat right. I had the same experience today I ate a small bag of potatoe chips and my pouch did not like it at all, i felt sick to my stomach!!!!

Oh Riley it was good and I'm going to work out like a wild woman tonight to get rid of it. The funny thing is that before surgery, I wasn't a potato chips fan. I find that I am becoming a fan of foods that I didn't care for before. Anyone experiencing that?

My size 14s came today - Im bummed the seven jeans fit - tight but fit - that defeats the purpose. The american rags are way too small so that's a good thing - those are my new goal jeans~

Hey Ladies,

How's everyone tonight? Candra and Tamra I know how you feel I was off program for 2 days. Today was much better

B-atkins shake

L-salad, 1/2 cup of roast beef

D-9 pita chips, 1/4 cup hummus

+ walked the bridge

I had to get back on track, I know myself I can gain 5lbs by looking at food.< /p>

So Candra I'm down for carpooling to Reggies. I'm going solo. Reggie, I want to contribute just don't know what to bring....Please give me an idea. I'm not really clear on what's pouch friendly yet.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
