YEp Nicole I hear ya!! Today I didn't PB'd I made good choices today. But I got the dry heave thing to last time and scared me back to Soups again.

THere is a very fine line between sweet spot and too tight CAndra. I so, so wanted restriction and than it is weird to be in the spot where i have to worry about if I am eating enough. I get shaky too!! I really think I am on the line between to tight and just right. Last month to loose ..................I would have to go with to tight but than again when I can't keep food down I frustated and than teary!!

Candra girl just wait!! Less than a month away. I am so excited for ya!!

I am afraid if my band tightens with Aunt Flow!! LOL. Right now it takes me an hour first thing in the morning to get 20 ounces of Water down and if I chug up comes the water!! No more 120 ounces of water. Won't fit. I work hard for the 64.

SO I don't know. I do love my band but some days I feel like the stoma must be pinpoint size. I don't want to end up in ER for not drinking enough and when I can't get anything down I worry about myself until something does stay down............than I am happy again!!

I am moody. This losing weight battle is tiring some days but geeze I m dropping weight again and so loving that!!

Tina you are way tighter then me it sounds (water I can chug as much as i want:) ) and it makes me know i don't want any more fills unless im done pbing for sure.

Yesterday get this i pbed on tuna salad, and then on a hamburger patty. so correct choices.. i think its just a mooooody band:)

LOL oh my gosh this kid is too young to be so smart, im staring at my kid she got a sippy out of the dishwasher went to the fridge and pushed on the puttons to get it to fill up ( i locked it) lol she went back to the dishwasher to get a new cup and is trying again LOL, IM LAUGHIN SOOO HARD!!!!

Nicole I am not eating out or with friends right now. I talk to much and don't concentrate on my eating............if I am with people I always get stuck!! If am by myself I have a better chance of not PB'ing. I hope soon I will figure out how to be social and not get stuck at the same time. But to many bad things the last two weeks at resterants and when social eating...............

Giving it a rest. I like eating at home where I know what work and where I can run if I am getting sick.............

I think part of it is just learning what to eat and not eat and learning to eat slow and chew well.............all stuff that is important when you at a high fill...........I got away with to much before this fill now I am going back to the binder and lap band rules.............

I don't want to get an unfill and lose my momentum!! LOL. Just hurts some days and your OMG I chose to do this...........but again the day after surgery I though the same thing and it was short term!! LOL.

I ate bread at a social gathering with 3 bosses, 1 co-worker and 1 Supervisor's Aide, so high stress and I still put down 2 pieces of bread and a piece of pizza!! I NEED A FILL!

OK I remembered some more stuff I ate today on my feeding frenzy, I am up to 1,981 calories and 151 grams net carbs!!!

Still . . .I look at what one could choose at a fast food restaurant and they could easily eat that many calories in a single meal, so . . .at least I ate pretty healthy food! And it's not like I ate a whole package of girl scout Cookies. And the pizza, it was Tomato and goat cheese pizza, it was 1/6th of a appetizer-sized one and I didn't even eat all of that. Calorie count still gave me an "A" for the day for my food choices!

OK now I am justifying myself, I need to just give myself a break, make some herbal tea and go to bed with my book!

What do you want to bet I lose tomorrow because I ate so many calories today? Weird . . .

LOL Nicole, I wish! Only exercised a little over 700 calories off today . . . . it was just a happy, ,last-chance food day because I am planning on getting some real restriction tomorrow!! Woo-hoo! So you are right, I AM excited and with only clear liquids after 10am I will probably get less than 500 a day in tomorrow and the next day . . . so it will all even out, may even work to my advantage!!

Goodnight ladies . . .

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
