Ugh . . .full, full, full! I want a nap if it wasn't sp hot . . . . I waited 4 hours, now at 3:20 or so I just had:

4 tbs. Tribe hummus (100 cals) with

1/2 red bell pepper, cut into strips

1 cup baby greens (salad) with a chopped green onion and

1 boiled egg (70 cals) (ate most of the egg first), and

1 slice reduced-fat swiss (70 cals)

sugar-free, carb-free (Walden Farms) Thousand Island Dressing

about a 250 calorie lunch, but 15+ grams Protein and some fiber!

OK no PBing or anything like that, and I am definately full. But that is a LOT of food! Of course the hummus is slider and the dressing makes all of the salad stuff slider-y . . . . and I am STUFFED I think I might try the nap after all, ugh I think it was too much!!!

Oh PB ing is this lovely (NOT) thing that happens when something is "stuck" in your band . . . your esophuagus (sp!) spasms and it comes back! It is not actually vomiting, but everything you tried to put down after the thing that stuck comes up too . . along with a TON of saliva that's like foamy . . . you want to avoid it, but I think most of us expericne it at least once! Christine hasn't but I don't know if anyone else hasn't . . . it does not happen until you've had a fill or 2 fills

I will be there I as far as I know. Summer is always hard to tell but I plan to be there.

Oh I missed meeting SmallerJ?? WHere was she?? oh darn smallerj next time ok?

Sorry I couldn't do lunch I missed out I know.

I had family around all afternoon and so weird but not feeling the restriction this afternoon. But than again I was really careful. Probably ate less than 1/2 cup.........well salad I ate alot but with no dressing on it at all.(less than a cup though) But the main stuff I barely ate and I was ok with it. I basically only tasted everything. No one bothered me about it.................I didn't have dessert cause it starts the cravings for me. I felt myself get full but not totally if that makes sense.......I stopped when I felt that 'certain" feeling but I didn't let it get to the last bite syndrome like yesterday ............you bandsters know what I mean.

My only need to confess is that I ate alot of fruit. Water mellon and honeydew melon. Maybe 2 cups or more over about 2 hours............I don't know how that can be all bad. But slider for sure. I just couldn't feel any fullness with that it must be passing right throught.........but tasted so good and it so darn HOT today!!

So loved seeing everyone. I think we were all there except for Chris, Reggie and candy. Missed you guys. And yep the bandsters are taking over the group I noticed that today.

Anyway it was so nice to see someone there that was at our group fill last week!!! Yea advertising does work Nicole!!

And darn it I am really hungry right now!! I was a very good girl but I am also now a very hungry girl but at least I am home where I can find something that works.

Hi all Richmond Ladies and more!

What a great meeting today, so cool to see everyone...even Mr. smoked a cigar was there!

Tina, smallerj, jes...was the beautiful short woman on the left side of me...we had fun at lunch...so cool to 'identify' and hearing others...explain my pain!

Ok, I am asking for true support (hehe), I am so humbled, Angel & Patti asked me to lead the next meeting (July 25th)! So Ladies, please come, to help me when I stutter, join in to make it fun, and hugs when I mess up! LOL

Tamra...I totally understand, actually went thru a time of 'grieving' giving up my ole comfort but quiet pal...food, but am now learning that it is a good trade for my health!

Ok...get ready to laugh...found this on a comedy dvd...

called 'Before I Eat'... Hilarious...hey, laughter is as medicine to the heart! hehehehehe :)

P.S. Thank you Candra for the support already!

I had so much fun at the pool today. I was like a kid again! Someone please tell my why I let myself get so fat for so many years? I feel like I missed out on so much! I'm makin' up for it now though, that's for sure! I dove off the HIGH and low diving boards probably 30+ times and went down the Water slide about 20+ time, I just kept going back and getting in line, SO fun! My nephews and nieces think I'm pretty fun to be doing it with them...it was just me and my sister (for the adults that were diving with them). SO SO SO SO FUN.

Okay, my food:

b-1 string cheese

l-1/3 cup chicken seasoned w/ taco seasoning, 2 tbsp guacamole on top of chicken. 10 tortilla chips, I know I'm bad but I worked out so shush!

d-3 oz chicken, 2 pieces watermelon, 1 small rice krispy treat, 3 grapes, 3 slices pineapple (probably too much food but I was SO hungry from swimming for 5 hours!)

MY WORKOUT:

arms video with 8 lbs weights 15 minutes long, bike 35 minutes and swim at pool (diving, water slides, swimming with kids) for 5 hours. I'm sure I burned way more than I ate today!

Wow - napping works - but now I probably won't sleep tonight - but I woke up energized and cleaned my kitchen & bathroom. I think that will be all th exercise i get though cuz I still have a headache - It must have been all the sun I got today - face a little sunburnt but that's what i get for thinking I ride with the top off in hot ass Sacramento - Jes, you had your top off too - how's the face?

I am so excited to meet jes/smallerJ - she lives about 10 minutes away from me, she's pre op too and has about 4lbs to lose for surgery goal - same as me! I band buddy!

Tina: You are so good for my ego! I don't really have many outfits left though - most of my stuff is size 20 and a little big now. I took all Nicoles old 1X shirts so I can still be cute - thanks Nicole!! Too bad you guys didn't come to lunch with us afterwords!! Heather you too!!!

Tamra, I'd really like you to get to our group next month. the support and the feeling of comrodery (sp?) is better than any motivation out there.

Chris It's so good too hear about all the fun you're having - something to look forward to. Wish I had started this journey in my early 30's!! Shoot, in my teens!!

Donna - I thank YOU for YOUR support! Haha, you didn't know i was so short did ya...

Oh, tina - I forgot to tell you I wore your favorite pants yesterday - love em!

Ok, so what's this we're doing now - writing down everything we eat?

didn't really keep on track today

Breakfast: Venti, Iced, Decaf Americano with soy milk

Lunch: Hamberger patty with avacado & Swish cheese, hold the bread. coleslaw.

Dinner: 1/2 cup tuna salad with 2tsp mayo, a couple (didn't measure) pieces of red onion & picles.

Heather - don't worry bout what your doctor said about the divorce rate for bariatric patients. What I hear is that the family that plays together, stays together. You're boyfriend is loosing weight with you so... It will be fine

Christine... Your husband losing weight with you, what are your thoughts?

Married women... How is your success affecting your relationship? Any jealous husbands out there... Reggie, your husbands cool now right?

I'm not worried about mine cuz we did great for that short amount of time that I was thin.

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.

Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
Furthermore, advancements in production techniques are making some alternative sweeteners more cost-competitive than traditional sugar. Consumers are becoming more concerned about the environmental impact of traditional sugar production and preferring more sustainable alternative sweeteners.
