I had the same thing happen. I don't think it's the tea. It will get better in a couple days. It might be the Beans from TB.

Damn, Tam - you shoulda stuck with Doc Who! Sounds like Baggs did a number on you LOL. I had ZERO problems - Never opened the gas-x box - only took the vicodin 1 time because they told me to take it later that night when I got home. got no pain meds before I left the hospital - didn't need it. Up & ready to go right after surgery - Yep - you shoulda stuck with The Doc! This is his curse on you for switching LOL LOL LOL

Tamra, go to that natural food store on Monument and ask for a Homeopathic remedy called Carbo Vegetabilis. It comes in a very small tube and is filled with tiny little balls that look like candy. Pop 5 under your tongue and let them dissolve. After my gallbladder surgery, that's all I needed. You can take them 3x a day or whenever the gas pain starts. I was told I could put some in my drinking Water and sip it all day. I just popped a few if my shoulder started to twinge and whala... pain gone!

Pat, I'm so happy to hear that you're home and everything went well. Ditto what Candra said, post when you can.

Check out my signature line. Nicole, I'm hoping, praying to be in that class with you and John on Thursday!

Well I waited until almost 3:30 pm today for Robin to call and nothing so I went back to work. (I drove up to my house to get her call). When I got home tonight I saw she called at 3:36pm. My appointment was for 3pm.....

I don't have voice message on my home phone and she usually calls my work cell phone but today she didn't. So no message and no call to the cell phone.

I tried to call her back but after 6pm no one answering at Kaiser and I can't leave a message.

So I guess I chase her down tomorrow...........great just what I needed. Looks like I avoided her but I didn't even know I had another appointment with her until last night.

I just hope no note in my file about missing appointments....

Hi Everyone - I am on the banded side! and the twilight side too - a little out of it. Not responsible for typos or what I say here LOL.

All went well. Barium Swallow is also gross! I was really woozie when they had me do it.

Had wonderful people taking care of me - so caring and nice. Peg was my recovery nurse and we have kids similiar ages.

Dr. Park is great - really like her. Although I found out she wrote me out for a little less than 4 weeks. I really didn't want to go to work back for a full week - wanted to start back on a 1/2 week (2/24 vs 2/22). I will probably follow up and ask her about it.

Gave Hubby the phone numbers of everyone to call, including my close family members and he decided it would be "easier" to wait and call when we got home. I know you guys and my sister were worryin'! Men!!

I've been walkin - and decided we have a really small house for walking! Walked on my deck and back yard a little this afternoon too. Gas hurts - not so much the incisions - the port also hurts.

OK - enough - my head is loopy.

Thanks for all you good words Ladies and John.

Yes, I'm the same Lee! There was a bunch of stuff over at ObesityHelp about sending messages to Facebook etc, so I changed my name to Bella everywhere. My son calls me Bella.

Pat, it's so wonderful to see you up and about. Keep walking!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
