Nice Ticker Nicollie! 1 day and a wake up till your new life begins!

Heather, that was a good thought but for me, the problem is, there is no candy that I don't love.

I SNACKED TONIGHT BIG TIME - I completed my puzzle last night so I had nothing to do tonight but snack - Peanut Butter filled prezzles! Grrr - oh, and did I mention a rather large bite of my husbands pastry! I seem to be able to pull this off for two or three days then I mess up. so - back on track tomorrow morning and as soon as my check comes it's time for brain washing CD's - you know the ones from that hypnotist guy I was talking about - I'll be sure to make copies for everybody LOL

Riley - I need your mo-jo!!!!!

Monique - I too give in to the tempting foods that belong to the people around me!

Anybody else have a Dell mini computer? So, because they are cheep as hell I got one of the little red ones - side note: not a good call for the blind such as myself! - anyway - dell installs their one wireless utility and wouldn't you know it.... It clashes with windows xp wireless connection - so, you ask, why do they install both on the same computer - GOOD FLIPPIN QUESTION

I have to wonder if it's one of those conspiracy things - you know so that you have to go to them and pay them money to fix your computer so that you can get on line to chat with your band buddies.... Hmmm?

i got a trick for all their asses - i disabled the Dell Wireless Utility card! SO THERE, DELL - TAKE THAT!

I just got so tired of having to reconfigure my computer every time I turned it on.

Venting session over

Hey everyone, just checking in...

Riley have fun on eharmony. It's nice to to be open to the possibilities.

Monique, yes tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to try and do better too. My last few days have been all bad. I didn't even do the bridge this morning.

It will be nice to see you all on the 14th we should probably stick with one location so if we roll to Peteluma let's check the walk out there.

Ok, a little TMI, all this Protein and no leafy greens has me plugged up! Plus I've been eating all this crap thus I can't crap Hehehe,,,:scared2:

Oh Pat, yes DR P is going away on Dec 17th for a while so you may have to wait til the new year. But try and get to your goal that way you can pick your date.

I can't believe the stupid bridge is not open yet, I can't work from home tomorrow I have 3 meetings so I guess that means BART and leaving home reeeeeal early.

Hey everyone. I went to Schollenber this afternoon and wow! The new section that they opened is huge - it has lots of great paths - it is part of the Water treatment facility; they built a wetlands to aid in the rain water run off. I only walked part of it and want to go back next weekend and check out more. I walked for an hour! Then came home and put the Halloween decorations away.

Riley - I am planning to come to your group Tuesday night - the time is 6:30 and its at the same house you sent me right?

Jess - Can't believe the bridge is still closed - what a mess! Are you planning to go to the Richmond support group on Wed night? I am planning to as of now unless the bridge is still closed and traffic is still all messed up going over the Richmond bridge instead.

Anyone else feel the way I am before doing the surgery? (my last question about being scared to do it and being scared not to do it?)

Pat, I feel exactly the way you do. I'm terrified to do it, but terrified to not do it. You're not alone feeling this way.

PRE OPS - DO NOT WORRY!

Seriously, worrying is such a waste of time - I know it's easier said... but truly, It all goes so fast and it's so easy you can sleep right thru it. hahahaha. I was nervous and excited and almost chickened out and went thru a slew of emotions before surgery but then I woke up surgery morning more excited than worried and thought about all that went before me and how great they were doing and couldn't wait to be on of them. At the hospital, waiting for surgery - the only thing I could think about was my previous failures and just knew that I had already failed - that I'd waik up after surgery with no band because I didn't lose enought weight, that my liver would be too fat - blah, blah, blah - Then i woke up in no pain and thought to myself .... I knew it! No band! but they said all was well and I was relieved - See, all that stress & worry for nothing! Reovery was/is so easy... You'll see!!! then you'll be like me and think to yourself that you did all that overthinking for nothing~! Trust me!!

Ok, so still waiting for all the Sac/EG peeps to weigh in about weather or not you want to stick with Vallejo or roll to Petaluma... Please speak up!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
