Anyone that is banded notice, you get an instant sugar high after eating chocolate? ??

OH.. btw, my mil checked my sugar level with her lil thing.. yes i let her stab me. lol well it says it was low but not super low. She is diabetic, and requires insulin shots a couple times a day. She was laughing saying how i am such the opposite of everything.. people get skinny to get rid of issues i get smaller to get them:)

I'm gonna have to try that too! Thanks for the tip.

Just think Nicole, you might've cancelled out all/part of your walk BUT if you hadn't gone on the walk you'd be in the hole! So it's kind of a wash. :)

Whew! Evenin ladies!!!

I did it, I did it! Got back on track and did 1st day WII ACTIVE, 30 day challenge! And I rocked the burned calories! It was late, started bout 9:30, and boy does it feeeel good!

Yes Tamra, anytime, do you have the Wii yet? I also have both the Wii Fit and Active, any questions, will answer. I did start using the Wii Fit, to drop weight for Pre-op, and w/o any other excercises, or meal plans, that alone helped me, I know I lost inches, and THEN started doing the treadmill for 30, why? Cause I had the energy and want to to do it after on the Wii Fit! The Active is more of a personal trainer...but and it does track your exercises, Fit tracks all things, weight, bmi, and exercising. Was glad I had that first, but now they are coming with I heard...a Wii Fit Plus.

Ok, will try the hummus, thought it looked interesting, and since it is tried and true with our real ladies (who have curves, hehe) I will go get some!!!

Candra, my case nurse emailed me back...no, SSF, Kaiser is not doing single incision yet, and she also said they WILL fade! Like I said, get a cute tattoo over any that don't!hehe

Ok, so tracking, 25 min. on Wii Fit Active today & 6+ waters!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
