TQUAD64 9 Posted December 2, 2008 Hello Amy: Welcome to LBT. I was banded on 11/11/08 and I have no regrets. I did have a slight complication. During surgery my spleen began to bleed slightly. After surgery, I had to have my blood drawn every three hours to make sure blood cell count was at the proper level. Additionally, I had a difficult time with the pains meds while in the hospital. My one night stay turned into 2.5 days in the hospital. I was okay with that, because I really was not ready to go home. By day 7 post op I was doing GREAT! I started driving, shopping and doing light chores all on day 7. I went back to work on 11/24/08 and felt really GREAT. I was not tired, I felt energetic, and was in no pain. I am now working out on the treadmill at home and working out with very light free weights for my upper body. I am on the mushie phase of my post op diet. I have great restriction, because my doctor pre-filled me with 3ccs at time of surgery. Total weight loss pre-op diet and post op diet is 29 pounds. Good luck!
