Jaceesmom03 0 Posted November 28, 2008 Okay, I am 4 months post op......how much am I supposed to be eating???? I can go 4 or 5 hours without getting hungry (so thats great!) but when I do eat....for example this a.m. I had 2 scrambled eggs, one of those round sausage patties, and a piece of toast. Jachut 487 Posted November 28, 2008 I could almost eat that. Not quite perhaps. As to whether its too much - are you eating till you're FULL? Try to stop at satisifed. Are you eating slowly so that you can recognise satisfied creeping up on you? And most importantly are you losing weight. If your'e losing weight and not stretching out your stomach (by eating till you feel stuffed) then there's no problem with the amount you're eating. And if you stay full up to 5 hours, sounds to me like you're doing great. As urwhatueat said, if you are still losing at least 1-2 pounds a week, then you are doing great. *Love* 2 Posted November 30, 2008 For me, I find it is not the band itself that makes me not hungry. I was taught to eat every 3-4 waking hours, whether I am hungry or not. I eat mostly Protein & never more than one cup of food at a time. I would never have imagined that eating like that regularly would turn into rarely being hungry or haivng cravings.
