jeanangell 0 Posted January 31, 2009 Hi, My surgeon told me 72 hours then I could shower but not to use a lot of soap in that ares. :redface: I was banded Weds. can't wait until tomorrow:tongue2: 2 days post op and not too bad - a little sore, a little gassy and very releived to get on with my life Oce I can figure out how to change the ticker - I will start changing that (hopefully all in the same direction...down hahaha) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
newlifebegins2017 25 Posted January 31, 2009 I showered the day after surgery but was told to avoid letting the Water stream over the incisions too much. I was told to avoid soaking in a bathtub or a hot tub or even swimming in a pool for those 2-3 weeks. Something about possible infection in the incisions. istra 0 Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) i was banded on the 20th by Dr. Scott at UTSW in dallas (he did the "single incision surgery" thats new). i'm still pretty tired, and gassy too, but other than that things are going well. i'm looking forward to eating real food again soon, even if its only "soft foods". My starting weight was 300.8 after Preop diet 286.2 Almost a week out from surgery down to 281.1 Blessings to all that are beginning this journey in 2009. atwoodka 0 Posted January 31, 2009 CONGRATS TO ALL THE JANUARY HOTTIES!!! Banded yesterday, the 30th, and feel absolutely great !!! Just soreness at the incision sites when standing up or rolling over. So glad this step of the journey is behind me.
