Manda and I got our pedi's, she took me to lunch and now I am home relaxing waiting for Rick. He had to make an appearance at the API golf tourney---I opted not to go.

The Dr. nailed both Kinsey and Connors weight within ounces, I was totally impressed.

My DD was telling me that her Dad seems to be turning his life around finally. He was an old hippie drunk for many years, she said this diabetes, and high blood pressure, has scared him pretty good, and he is watching his diet, has lost 30 pounds, and cut his hair, shaved the beard.....hell I probably wouldn't recognize him. Til he opened his mouth, and I am betting he is still a moron underneath it all!!! LOL I did NOT say that to her, I have NEVER bad mouthed him to her, let her figure out how he was on her own. I hope for her sake as well as that of his other kids, he cleans up, and lives for awhile, they are young to lose their Dad.

Rick's sister is still in the hospital, they found a blood clot ( or maybe several--I got different versions of the situation) in her arm, chest caused by the PIC line! I thought they were in almost a panic mode when they pulled that. I mean they had blood everywhere, and did it in a HURRY! When they pulled Manda's they were nothing like that. Made me go ...hmmmmmmm. So now she is still in the hospital, and getting lovenox shots to thin the blood and allow the clots to resolve themselves. She has lots of family coming next weekend for a 40th anniversary----and she is in the hospital! So guess who is getting to do a lot of the cooking???? But this is not something she has chosen, none of it would be. Even if she is bulemic like I believe her to be, that is not a choice one makes logically, it is a mental disorder, that needs treated. So I am cooking!

Well, I need to clean up a few things, so nice getting all my work done at home early!!!

XOXOX

Well the ultrasound weight measurement is generally way off. Coworkers wife they said he was like 5lb and he was 8..and they said Carson was nearly 9lb and he was 7.5lb.

I did get the shirt suzie, remind me.. what is the significance of the school? Pretty colors though!!

Carson has been up and crying all morning.. :)

Russ just left to get me waffle house. Carson hasn't pooped since we were at work yesterday, so I have him 2oz of Water. Still nothin yet. I am so tired.

Here's the tips from the P.A. and nurse I'm related to. Put a little bit of mineral oil on the tip of your finger and rub it inside Carson's cheek. OR.. use a little bit of Karo Syrup in the water. Also.. if he pooped yesterday, don't worry about today. Babies can go 2-3 days without pooping. After that, then try the tips.

Thank goodness for SPF70. I'd be a burnt little girl by now without it. Love Pool time.

Laura. The school is just about a mile from my house. It's were my neice and nephew graduated from. It's also were David Cook (AI Winner-last year) graduated from. I just thought I would send all of you one so that when you go on your trip you can all wear tham and take a pic for me. Will make me feel like at least a little part of me was there. School colors ar Blue, Green and silver. BS North is Purple and Gold.

Laura, I'm sure you've done some searching online for colic cures, but if not, here's one I found that is repeated by many other sources.

Cures for Colic in Baby / Babies

Bobster's birthday party is done. We had pasties, salads and birthday cake. I was able to eat half a pastie, a couple of tablespoons of two salads and of course a piece of cake. :)

I have the new wii fitness DVD and Kris showed me how to work it so I'll be starting that tomorrow. No pool work today. There was just no time, but I hope to get in and get my exercises in tomorrow.

Everyone have a good evening. Michelle and Haydee, have a great time and give Dr. PamELa a big hug from me.

Everyone else be good to yourselves.

Tracy--the camaros are schweeeet!!!!

I drove a 69 Firebird for many, many years----and they were very similar of course. I miss it. Shoulda kept it, and ditched the ex back then....lesson learned the hard way!!

I forgot all about the oil in the baby's cheek, we used light olive oil, with the same result!! Point being "result"!!!!

Glad the Bobster had a nice birthday with the family.

My folks are on their way home, should be in tomorrow night. They are cutting the trip short some, and going to wait to go to CO for a few days, maybe longer depending on how my cousin is doing. They are going there to see my Moms sister, and her DD is pregnant with twins. She is 40, and has MS, and is 8 months pregnant with fraternal, boy/girl twins!!! She is either really crazy or really brave, not sure which!!!

Hope the girls are making Pamela feel special during her party----so glad Haydee and Michelle went!

We had a great ride, and went for our usual mexican food. Gary and I are die hards, we would go there every time if Rick and Becky didn't whine!!

Y'all have fun, will check in tomorrow!!!

He had 2 poo's this evening, so whew.. thanks for the tips though, definitely needed something to do like today with doc closed I had only read to do Water.< /p>

The colic websites all say pretty much the same thing, unfortunately Carson is stubborn- hates being swaddled, doesn't like pacifier, and we tried putting him in the swing yesterday and he just cried till we took him out.

"Shhh"ing is our best thing since we brought him home, but now 'Shh"ing seems to signal to him that we're not gonna do anything, so it makes him cry louder. Oy.

I just took him to my mom's. They're going to watch him tonight.. they've watched him every Sat. night since he was 2 weeks old.

One thing I did read on that website Judy that gave me hope.. it said normally 3w-3m. He's 6w and it started a week ago, so I got 2 weeks without it (heh!) and as frustrating and tiring as it is.. knowing it should be gone by a month and a half from now does actually make me feel better. I know everyone says they grow up too quick, but I really want to FFWD to 6 months.. I want to be able to make him smile, hear him coo, not have feeding problems, etc.

Also read something about breastfeeding last night that may have been a problem of mine. The doc on call gave me rx for birth control that you can take while BF. It doesn't have one of the hormones. She said I could start taking it right away; a week later at my follow up MY doc said "You can take it now". Didn't think anything of it, but read last night that taking any BC pill-even that one- can prevent the milk from coming in full, so it says to wait at least one week. SIGH.

I just hope on the next baby we can figure it out, I hate this formula crap.

Oh Suzie I really like both those colors!! My school was boring, we were the patriots (same mascot as the NFL one). Red White & Blue. ZZZ. I was in the marching band too, so all our jersey stuff was so ugly. I'd have loved some purple and gold uniforms.

Watching this show, intervention but an indepth look at it. Some sets of kids who got into oxycotin, and then heroin..and 2 things made my jaw drop. I thought they're all older, looking back. This one guy has been an addict since 13, and he still is, has been to rehab over 33 times.. I figured he's about 30... he said "I could die.. I'm too young to die.. I'm only 16" holy cow.

And oxycotin is $80 a pill on the street. WTF!!!!

Back from the wedding. Was okay, but had a really bad headache and the music was throbby, not really so much loud, just pulsy, does that make sense? food was good, cake was not. I didn't fit into my fat pants. If fact when I got on the scale I gained weight!! Now I have never said this on here before but WTF?????????? I got a fill that seems to be great, I am not hungry, and I gained weight?????????? I am not going in the right direction! Oh well, just finished TOM, I was given that as a birthday gift!!!!! My mom and dad also gave me a purple travel mug for my coffee when I drive to Alabama.

Boy, I am rambling for sure!!!!!

Hope you sleep well tonight Laura!!!

I will!! Having a late night snack before I go.

I found this new stuff, best new thing since sliced bread! Dunno how long it's been around, I had never seen it before.

I love love guacamole, but I can't justify buying it because as we all know, after you open it-it goes bad quick..and I'm the only one who eats it and I don't use much when I want it (I know you CAN eat it brown, but I won't).

Wholly Guacamole!

100 calorie snack packs, come in a pack of 6.. sweeeet. Tastes like fresh guacamole, just enough for whatever I want it on (chips, or mexican dinner, etc.).

Good morning, Violets. Funky looking site again this morning.

I'm dressed and off to church and then lunch with friends. I'm going in the swimming pool this afternoon no matter what. It's only 41 degrees right now, but the pool Water is 86 so once I get in, I'll be fine. Getting out will take all my courage..

Everyone have a good day. Laura, hope you got some sleep last night. Kris starts back to work tomorrow and she's dreading it. She's on a two month trial. If she can't handle being away from Grady, she'll stop working. She's blessed that she has that option.

Good morning violets~

Hope you are all having a fantastic time.

Laura, hope you got a good nights sleep  I remember wishing I could FF'wd through the first few months. It seems to pass so slowly, right? I am not gonna say 'this too shall pass' :) (even though I just did). I SO wish I were able to go on the trip. I wanna snuggle with Carson.

Jane-if you know you are eating properly, do not get on the scales for a while (look whos talking) because they can seriously depress you and make us do evil things like eat out of spite....like itis really teaching the scales a lesson or something...lol

Palm Springs Chikkies-I have nothing to say to any of you other than :) LOL. Hope you are having/had a great time.

Jennifer-how you doing? I miss you!

Terry-how is your weekend so far?

Suzanne-I sunburn once a year and it is a killer. Is yours bad?

Kat-if I won the lottery, I think I might have to purchase one of those camaros. (speaking of, I need to check my numbers, lol)

TracyinKS-:) i can't help but love ya sista.

Judy-let us know how you like your new wii fitness dvd.

I am supposed to get tom today and tomorrow and I too got on the scales knowing I shouldn't have and it was 224. BUT, that is what I get for weighing knowing I am retaining Fluid. BAD ME :bat:. I will just go by what I weighed the day before which was 221.5 which means I lost 5 pounds for the month of May. I'll take it. If I had gained 5 pounds I would be over 230....so I will take down over up any day and twice on Sundays...can I get an AMEN?

OK, one more cup of coffee and it is GYM time! Have a great Sunday and respect the pouch!:)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
