Terry you used to only see Peeps out at Easter, now they make them for other holidays as well.

They come in multi packs of yellow chicks, pink bunnies etc. They are solid marshmallow, with a slightly crispy (I think it is just the food color paint) outside. They come packaged flat and each stuck to one another.....never could figure out how to put them in the kids baskets without putting the entire package in whole, if you open them the Easter grass sticks to the Peeps. Especially where the Peeps were attached to each other. Nah--------y'all can have 'em. I'll get my sugar fix in other ways....there are sooooooo many other ways!!! chocolate Easter Bunnies just waiting to have their ears bit off! Dove Chocolate eggs, Reeces Peanut Butter Eggs, Cadbury Eggs, Malted Milk Eggs, Mounds & Almond Joy Eggs......the list goes on.

I'll leave all the Peeps and jelly Beans for someone elses Easter Basket!

Still bumming, and Rick is freaking out over it, he keeps calling to see if I am ok. I want to scream NO, but I am I guess.

Happy snowy day. Yup, it's still flurrying here.

Jane, from the very start my Doc made sure that I knew that this was just a tool for us. That we still had to work at losing the weight. Just that the band was going to make it a little easier. I'm always amazed at the people that lost all their weight and it seemed like they didn't even try to do it. That the band seem to really work great for them. I just have to remember that they probably didn't have the issuses with food like I do. That is why I am now seeing a Psych Doc. To help me understand why I feel the need to sabotage myself. That is one of the reasons why I always liked coming to this group. Somehow knowing that you all have similar stuggles as I do seemed to help. Knowing that I am not alone in my daily Quest to keep myself on track. When I see that someone here has had a good day that gives me hope and rallies me to try to do the same for myself. When I read that someone has had a bad day than I know I'm not alone in this struggle. I told TracyinKS one time at a meeting that I really like when she post what her daily food intake was. That seems to help me alot. Some day soon you will find what helps you. Maybe going to Weight Watchers or some other form of a support group. I've been going once a month to my Doctor's support group meetings and I think they have been helping me. You too will find what works for you.

Kat, I will keep your friend in my prayers. She has a long battle in front of her.

Yesterday hubby and I had to take one of our cats in to the animal hospital. We were thinking that she had a urinary tract infection. They ended up having to keep her over night to get a sample out of her. This morning she still had not pee'd for them so they had to take a needle and draw out a sample.Turns out she just has a lower urinary inflamation. No bacteria. So she is now home and on pain meds and orders to drink lots of Water. (Hmmm, where have I heard that before?). And to think that thru all of that I didn't stress eat.

Well, I'm off to work. I have the evening shift today Wonder how busy we will be with it still snowing.

Have a great evening.

Tippy and Suziecat say Drink, Drink, Drink.

Yeah, jelly Beans are disgusting too!!

Marshmellow candy (anything with marshmellow in it) and jelly beans.. and licorice.. YUCK.

I need to keep focusing on these gross candies, just thinking about them makes me not want candy..teehee.

I had some Haribo gummi bears (my fav.) while talking to a customer.

I love jelly beans!! At least I don't have to worry about making Easter baskets for kids anymore. That was always my downfall... 1 for you, 2 for me, 2 for you, 3 for me.

I've done very well on my eating since Jan. 2 and I'm thrilled with the 9# I have lost, but have stayed at 174 for several days now. Normally this would cause me to say "what the @#$$" and eat "just a little" of this, that and the other thing. But not this time around. This time I'm sticking with the good choices, no sugar and lo-carbs and just waiting. If I can't get to goal this way, then there just isn't any getting to goal at all. I'm doing just what I'm supposed to and will continue. I have a cruise in 2 months and I want to be down another 10# by then. That would put me just 13# from goal and would be a great incentive not to overeat on the cruise.

My support group helps a lot. It's the same as talking to all of you online, except it's in person and you get to see results along with hearing about them. I passed the Soup recipes and pouch test along to everyone last time and am anxious to see if it helped anyone. Our next meeting is Feb. 14

I just finished redoing my budget to include the $400 a month loss starting in April. We'll have to tighten our belts for a couple of months, but when I get my SS checks starting in July, things will be back to normal.. even above normal and that's a good thing. My goal is to be credit card free in 3 years. It's a daunting task on a fixed income, but it's something to work for, for sure.

Off to surf the net and play some hearts. The Bobster is reading on his Kindle. We look like two retired techno savy old farts!!

Catch you later..

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
