Old Goat 0 Posted November 25, 2008 OK have a question on how to eat. This is what my group says on HOW TO EAT Drink Protein supplements to reach 60-70 gm total protein daily (food eaton and protein supplement combined). It may take you several weeks to reach this goal. (Heck I got to this one in 4 days) Eat until comfortable - NOT FULL Watch for the soft stop. Introduce foods one at a time. Now my question is has anyone experienced a soft stop and if so what was it like for you?
sistasassy 6 Posted November 25, 2008 I was released to mushies yesterday and, before I ate, I was starving. I had a few slow bites and noticed that the "ravenous" feeling I had before eating was gone. I was no longer hungry but not stuffed. I wonder if that is maybe what they are talking about. Just guessing.
gentylwind 1 Posted November 25, 2008 That really is vague, isn't it? I think sistasassy is probably right, that it means stopping when satisfied but not "full" feeling. Probably if you feel uncomfortable you went too far. That's my best guess too.
Old Goat 0 Posted November 25, 2008 Hi here is a little more information I found on the soft stop subject in another book. "Watch for your "soft stop". It's an involuntary sign your body is giving you to stop eating. It is the next bite in which food may get stuck or vomiting may occur. The sign might be a sigh, a runny nose, a hiccup, sneeze or watering eyes". I am probable not far enough along to be looking or this one yet. Could be those of us banded in the 1st part of the month will be finding it soon.
