Guest DebL Posted July 18, 2005 I was banded on 5/6/05 by Dr. Kuri, as of today I lost 26lbs. I just had my first fill on Thurs. 7/14 by Dr. Fielding in NY he added 1 cc, I have a question to anyone who could answer. I still feel that if I wanted to I would be able to eat, I lost 3 lbs since the fill. How much is a normal weight loss between a 4-6 week fill. Should I consider calling my doctor and telling him I don't have a full feeling. How long should I wait before I call the doctor. Debbie

Guest uphill Posted July 21, 2005 Hi DebL, I had the band done on 6/10 and my first fill on 7/14...I have that feeling to, I eat what I want, and then feel full...I have only lost 10 or 15 lbs I feel like it is not working for me...I am looking for someone else that had it done recently...let me know if you go to the Dr. and what is said (My Dr. said during the first month, the band was not filled so it was normal for me to be able to eat, but now that I had the fill, it seems I should at least feel some type of limitation)
Marimaru 7 Posted July 21, 2005 So you've lost 3 lbs in a week? That's fantastic! The goal target is usually 1 to 2 lbs per week, average, so you are really doing well. I think the biggest guideline for fills is: 1) are you losing 1 to 2 lbs per week? (on average, I lose mine in spurts. A few lbs in one day, then nothing for a couple of weeks, so it still averages out). 2) if you are losing that much, is it because of the band or are you dieting but feeling hungry? If you aren't feeling hungry between meals, you are probably fine, but if you are struggling between meals, it might be time to consider a fill. Also, make sure you are getting your Water in, and your Protein too.
