Rhondalou and Edie's Big Virtual Adventure 11/21/08

Recommended Posts

Wow ladies that sucks, hopw you have been warm and cozy. We only had one bad day with a couple of accidents and a couple of fatalities. A little bad weather and these people can't seem to drive.

Just been working out at the gym, little cold to ride my bike or anything.

I have been dealing with a work thing that has had me a bit bummed and not as enthusiastic with my workout..

Jen, we are walking virtually toward one another, you could make your first goal to get to Edie.. A 25 mile goal..

what do you think?:cursing:

Sounds

great. Will probably start on Monday. Finally got electricity back yesterday and the last of my family left last night. Got off work at noon today and have been working non-stop since to try and get my house at least liveable again. I adore my family but I totally spoiled them growing up. I was a stay at home mom and I did everything for them and they really don't know how to keep a house. But thats what I get for having three boys and letting them be my whoile life for 25 yrs.! Talk to you all later. Thanks for inviting me. Edie, make sure you tell your husband that I said thank you for doing the kind of work that he does. I know we were without electricity for 8 days and Water foir a couple of days, but if it had not been for all the great work from our utility guys it could have been a lot worse. Jenhay

I have been busy taking in 2 cats and one extra dog due to no heat in the owners homes. Oh well at least I have electricity.

I was able to take my pet for 1 mile today.

Had a bad week, vomited really hard Thursday and that irritated my tummy had a rough night Friday, and got to where I couldn't even get Water down. Called my doc Saturday at 4 am and he told me to go to the ER, so I went after work. Did a swallow study and liquid was not moving. So he had to take out my fill. I am a little bummed because I am not really having restriction. So I am trying to monitor my meals the best I can. So that is was is going on here in Texas!! You are killing the miles girl, hang in there!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
