New to Lapbandtalk

Hello Everyone,

I had my lap band procedure done just shy of a week ago. Found this site while browsing other forums, just wanted to introduce myself. Im a 22 year old student majoring in Special Education, and I also play in an acoustic band on the weekends. Im doing fine with my surgery, but have a few questions, including:

- Why do i sometimes get pain in my left shoulder? Or is this even surgery related?

- Any Protein Shake recipes? Trying to find one that fits my taste and doesnt taste like paste haha

- Has anyone looked into the "Couch to 5K" running program? I wondered if this would be a good workout regime for a post-op patient.

The pain is from the gas that was put into your body, its quiet common.. I dont remember having it though, but i was GONE after my surgery.. I personally hate Protein Shakes and use new whey Protein Shots that have 42g of Protein, but they are kinda expensive..

I work out in the gym and play soccer 2-3x a week.. next semester i will be playing volleyball..

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
