Manatee 4 Posted November 18, 2008 Just curious. Personality? His or her physical shape? Certifications? Would it matter to you if he or she used to be obese? If he or she had WLS of some type? Or is it just whoever happens to be working at the gym at the moment?
AAA022414 13 Posted November 18, 2008 They just assigned me one...I love him! Do you work out at the gym right now? Maybe you could just kinda watch them all work with different people and see what kind of style you like. I've noticed that some are very much into the motivational thing...the whole time you are working out and others just kinda let you do your thing. They'll probably ask you if you would prefer a man or woman...i said i didn't care...however, i'm glad i got who i got. as i see the other trainers work with people, there's like 2 others i wouldn't mind working with, if mine were to ever leave that is! i need someone to talk to me and some people just can't carry on a conversation to save their lives. so that's my advice...watch them. luluc 6 Posted November 18, 2008 so that's my advice...watch them. that's what DH and i did - watched them all & we choose the one we found didn't do the SAME routine with every client. once we selected him - we found out a bit more; he's an ex marine, has a degree in biology/nutrition, multiple certifications in training, GREAT personality, took the time to learn about the lapband, and customized our workouts around some limitations dh and i have (me, i have spinal arthritis / hubby, bad back). we have been training with him for almost a yr - i actually consider him part of our family. he really cares about our progress & health. it would not have bothered me if he had WLS.
