Surgery was 11/14

Recommended Posts

Well my surgery was on Friday the 14th. I was also first up. 7:40 am surgery, in recovery by 8:45 am and home by 1:30. No pain pump. The gas pain has been horrendous for the two days. Lots of getting up and walking. I have not been able to eat anything but sips of Water and a couple bites of sf Jello. The gas pains feel like they might be letting up a bit so hopefully I can eat a little bit more liquid. My doctor has me on 1 weel clear liquid, 1 week full liquid, 1 week pureed food, and weeks 4-8 are soft foods. As hard as it is at the moment it is totally worth it.

Good to hear you are home and are able to manage the pain. The walking does help with the gas. Hope it continues to subside so you can sip more liquids.

Wishing you the best!

For me, the gas (shoulder) pain seemed to increase whenever I ate something, even just the liquids. But a few days and it will be gone. Pain meds seemed to help a lot with that, both in the hospital and at home, and it would always put me to sleep.< /p>

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
