morgan52 0 Posted November 11, 2008 Hi, I've just registered with the forum today as my surgery date for a lapband is Thursday. I live in France now and I have been overweight all of my life. I have tried everything under the sun but the real problem has been me. I would welcome any news on how people deal with the first few days post op and how I may feel. The surgeon and the support team have been great, although I am Welsh I speak french fluently and feel very happy that I am having this op in this country and not in the UK. I very nearly died at the start of 2008 and spent 9 weeks in hospital so this is my new start, I am not a religious person but I firmly believe that I am being given this opportunity to" change my stars." Hazeleyes 0 Posted November 11, 2008 Hi Morgan52 look at tomorrow as the start of a new lifestyle change things will work out for you keep a positive mind state and the as always the good lord will be watching over you. I was some what sore the first few days after my surgery, I was banded last dec on a Tuesday and I was walking (slow) in the mall on that Sat gas might be a problem for a few days and the area where my port was located was the last to heal but overall you can be up and on your feet in a few days just take it easy and listen to your body for rest periods. Congratulations on deciding to take this journey and I am here for support.
