What happened to your face?

After you lost the weight? I don't mean the extra wrinkles or looking older thing. I mean, does it seem like your bone structure changed? Did you eyes get bigger? What are the changes you guys noticed, and do you think you look more or less the same?

I went in to this looking like a bloated me; 9 months later I look like my sister - I have cheekbones, I have a chin, and my eyes are not little slits in a mound of dough.

I am starting to look like the person I always saw myself as . . . I'm starting to look like "me." I didn't know the chubby faced girl I used to see in the mirror everyday - she was a stranger who couldn't control what she ate.

Yeah, my double chin disappeared and I was shocked when I saw my collarbone in a picture. I was like OMG I have a COLLARBONE?!?!? lol....

The changes in my face are perhaps the most dramatic of my weight loss. I expected to lose the belly, but the face changes took me by surprise. I'm told I look years younger, happier and healthier. Check out my signature - what do you think?

LOL Maincat you look great...time for Grecian formula LOL just kidding.

Hey I lost one chin, one more to go...and I saw my collarbones this week and can feel my hip bones. My face looks younger too. doing facial exercises to try to keep it from falling I hope they work.

I need a new haircut next week, before my Nov. picture. I am taking one photo a month and putting it in my album before and after.

Amazing how you change totally. inside and out. I am seeing the woman I used to be come back. I don't think I will get to 110 but close is fine with me 120-130 will be wonderful.

LOL - I just had surgery on October 20, so not a lot has changed except a few inches here and there on my body - but the first thing I noticed is that my eyelids aren't puffy! I noticed that when I put makeup on that the skin on my eyes is tighter! Is that weird or what?

Maincat - the thing I've always noticed about your pictures is that you look so much happier, rested, and super kind. I don't know you at all, of course, but by looking at your picture I'd sure say it would be a pleasure to get to know you, were I to just meet you on the street or in a meeting somewhere! I'm hoping that most of our pictures, when we're at or near goal (or even on the way down) show the real person we are inside like yours seems to!

Maincat - it is so funny because i was just stuck on your pic profile and it looks like you took twenty years off.. You look amazing. And the side shot.. The camera almost missed you .. You are so slim. I never knew i had a collar bone and my dimples in my cheeks are more noticeable now. It definitely is a change in the right direction.

I've lost my extra chin, and have cheek bones. I've also discovered I have hip bones too. My collar bone is there now too. I like these changes.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
