xtightend 0 Posted November 4, 2008 After months of doing all the various appointments and completing them all I finally had it all done. The Dr's assistant said she would schedule my surg right away. That was over 2 weeks ago. I called last week and left a message. No body even called me back. I need to plan things with my business so I can take time to recover. My wife is a nurse she wants to take time off to take care of me. I guess I will call the doctor today. bigrick 0 Posted November 4, 2008 Hang in there, it took me forever and a week to finally get done but it has all been worth it. Your time will come I guarantee it will, but that being said dont be shy about bugging them either. The squeaky wheel always gets the grease!

ElusiveQuality 22 Posted November 6, 2008 That was over 2 weeks ago. I called last week and left a message. No body even called me back. I spoke with my surgeon about all the difficulties I had with scheduling and he admitted that it's somewhat purposeful. If the patient really needs to fight to get it done it shows that they're committed and it will be much less likely for someone to have buyer's remorse. Grievous Angel 0 Posted November 6, 2008 That is a nice thought EQ but as far as I am concerned it just the present state of insurance and medicine. My pre-surgery period was torture and they almost canceled me while on the gurney the day of surgery because of my blood levels (related to thinners). Anyway xtightend hang in there bro because as stated before it is well worth the wait. It is the best decision I ever made and the period before was much worse than the actual surgery.
