~Bridgette~ 0 Posted November 4, 2008 I was just banded on Weds and will be traveling this weekend with my folks. They'll be on vacation and I'm sure they'll want to eat out. Is there anything we can eat when on the liquid phase at a restaurant? I looked at some online menus and all of the Soups are either french onion (no protein) or chunky, like brocolli/cheddar or chilli or something like that. Any suggestions on how to deal with this weekend and not ruin their time as well?
San Diego Mom 0 Posted November 4, 2008 I would just pack your Protein Shakes and take those. At the restaurant I would just stick to iced tea. Good luck and have fun!
lapbandtalker 0 Posted November 4, 2008 Yes, you have more options that what you'd think. If your doc has you on Clear liquids, then it's just that...clear. But for normal liquids, you can have Soups and just not swallow the chunks. This is the easiest to do while dining out. Since it's just a weekend, just do the Soup or something else you discover on the menu. But have a great time!
