Tomorrow is the day

Recommended Posts

I cannot belive it, Tomorrow is the day- I have to be at the hospital by 0530. I am so excited but I have to admit the anxiety is getting worse, I was up half the night. My mind won't stop. Usually when I stress, I eat and smoke. Today I am cleaning. I am going to try to substitute movement for eating. Hopefully I can do this. I am suppose to be on Clear Liquids today, shouldn't be too bad. Just missing my coffee.< /p>

Everything is going to go great - and before you know it you will look back and go - I can't believe I am already 2 weeks post-op and you will look at the scale and be down!!!

For all of that time in between - you will be on the board here getting all of the support that you need to get through it!

I know what you mean - the night before, all I wanted to do is sit on my back patio - drink a glass of wine and have a smoke - it will all go by quicker than yoou think!!!!!

Good luck and let us know how you do!!

Thank you- I am nervous but on top of that I am hungry. No food, just clear liquids today-I guess it could be worse. I don't suppose white wine would be considered a clear liquid. Only kidding but it sure would take the edge off.

Would someone be kind enough to tell me how to get the 'ticker factory' into the bottom of my messages? I've been to the site and found some I liked, but didn't understand what I was suppose to do on the last page. Sorry, but I'm a newbie at all of this. I'm being banded TOMORROW. I'm scared and hungry.

wannabsmall,

tomorrow! yippee! I'm sorry you are scared and hungry. Just know it will be all over with before you know it, and you'll be banded!!

So I guess you know how to go to the Tickerfactory and choose your ticker. When you get to the end You have a selection of addresses to choose from. find the one that says it's for use on vbulletins. Highlight that address, click Edit at the very top, then click Copy.

Now, come back to LBT and click on User CP in the upper left. then click Edit Signature. Put your curser in the sig block where you want the ticker to be, then go back up to the Edit button, click Paste, and the address will show up from the tickerfactory. Now, scroll down and click Save Changes. Then post, and it should come up. PM me if you have any probs, I'll be on and off here for another hour, maybe, and I'll be glad to help if you are still on.

Good luck tomorrow! Post when you get home and let us all know how you are feeling!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
