Tomorrow is my big day!!!

Recommended Posts

Well tomorrow is my Band-Day! I am excited, not nervous at all. My only concerns are I think the normal. Learning how to eat, what not to eat, will I fail at this...what if....what if...what if. LOL But over all I am ready and excited.

Who else is having their Band-Day this week? What are your fears and concerns?

:w00t:Tomorrow is my band-day too!! I'm so super excited as well, a bit nervous though. I just want to get it over with you know. I have been having all those what-ifs as well. I think if we just take it one day at a time we will do fine. Good luck to you!:cool2:

Cool, there's a bunch of us going in tomorrow!!:smile2:

I don't have any "what if" feelings I guess. Like you said, we've worked so hard to get to this point....it's just the right thing to do!!

Good luck to us all!!!

Good Luck to all of you. I hope your surgeries went well. My surgery is 11/19 and I would love to her from all of you how things went. It is hard to wait.

I am so happy to have all of youto help support me. I don't really have much support otherwise.

My surgery was 4th November and like SunnyOne I ended up with the flu as well. Lots of coughing which didn't do my healing stomach any good. First day back at work today. Start mushies on the weekend, thankfully, I'm sick of drinking. Feeling good though with no pain at all - only port wound to heal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
