Friday weigh in October 31

Last week: 195.5

This week: 196.3

Gained: .8

Is anyone else having issues with bloating since surgery? I've ALWAYS had issues. If I don't drink enough, I bloat. TOM, I bloat, etc. Seems just about everything makes me bloat but since surgery, it seems worse. I'm on a diuretic for BP and am STILL having problems with bloat. The other day I bought some caffeine free Water pills to see if that helps but I keep forgetting to take them!

I go on Tuesday for my 2nd fill. I have been slowing down my eating but it's still a little too fast. I have to watch the clock while eating. I'm hungry faster but am not eating til it's time to eat so I'm hoping this next fill will help.

Bad week. I had a bunch of stress and guess what I turned toward to get me through - food! Ugh. Oh well, I did not gain, just stayed the same. I need to make better choices when I am feeling stressed!

My exercise is going well, I could kick it up a bit - that is my focus this week!

Hi there lovely August All-stars! From the 1st of Oct to the 1st of Nov, I've lost 2kg (about 6.6lbs). I only record my weight monthly.

Quite happy with that loss as this month as I've not exercised enough due to work commitments, and even spent two weeks not exercising at all because I had the flu.

I'm due for another fill tomorrow too.

Yay Lellow!!

Plus you are also getting lower in your BMI and I think once you hit about where we are now the weight does come off a bit slower....that is what I keep telling myself anyway:lol:

I like that theory, Ro! Lol!

I agree though that whenever I see that I've 'only' lost 14+kgs (31+ lbs), I remember that I only had 30+ kgs to lose all up, which means I'm almost half way there already. Got to be happy with that when you're only 3 months out from surgery.

My short term goal is to get to under 80kgs (176lbs) by Christmas. I'm 3.5kgs (7.7lbs) out from that still, but I reckon I should be able to get there no problems if I keep losing at this rate. So I can't slow down too much!

Down .5 lbs

I'm really late posting last Friday's weight loss. I figure I better post tonight before everyone starts posting tomorrow.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
