I once worked with a woman who's last name is Dick, that alone is pretty bad but her name is Benita and then they named their daughter Anita. Those are parents who are mean!!

Hey Queenie,Isn't Dick Trickle a pro golfer?

My last name is Wynne (pronounced "win", though most people guess wine or whiny). I guess that means I'm a winner. :)

Ok I have a couple - we have a local foot doctor whose name is Richard Hacker - Why would someone do that to a child???

Also there is a company in Coldwater, MI that goes by the name of Frost Byte owned by none other than Richard Frost - I bet he is having fun!

This is great - havn't laughed this much in a long time.

Thanks,

HA HA HA I went to EMT school in Colubus, GA. My instructor's name was Nate Bader. He was a Master Paramedic. When we had clinicals we had to formally address him as Master Bader. SO NOT KIDDING!! I remember hollering across the ER for MASTER BADER!

I still see the patients reactions to hearing us call out his name!

picking myself up off the floor from laughing so hard.

So... when someone goes for teh wynne it has a whole different meaning....

My older sister was being teased by some kid when they were little. My sister's last name was Howell, and this mean little girl would literally howell at my sister every time she saw her, or wanted to tease her. My mom asked what the big meanie's name was. It was.... Wolfe.

This is a hilarious thread!

Suddenly, I don't feel so bad about marrying a guy with the last name of Tweedy (from the Scottish folk settled by the river Tweed). Poor guy, he got into soooo many fights. My poor (future) children...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
