I went back to work in exactly 1 week but I don't have a strenous job.

I think it depends on the person and amount of pain you are in that determines how soon you can return to work. I felt awful for the first couple of days and am now on day 6. Although I am feeling better, I am stil not ready to return to work, even though I have a desk job. Hopefully you will be feeling better and you will be able to return sooner. Good luck with your surgery!

i was banned on friday 10/24 and returned to work today and i have a deskjob ... it all depends on the person and how your surgery goes.
