Hi fanny,

yes it was, it was all over with by the time you posted lol.

Am back home now, quite sore. The incisions themselves don't hurt a big, just sore, but the shoulder tip pain is in my right shoulder, left and right shoulder blades and my spine. And I'm hungry!!!! *sigh* Only 2 weeks more to go.

Thanks so much for the well wishes.

Thanks Blocka, you are so right!!! I have this permanent indigestion pain in the middle of my chest. I only just discovered that I haven't been taking in enough to maintain my body, so I've had to up my intact calorie wise! Feeling very sorry for myself right now and have been wondering if getting a sleeve done might not have been a better idea!

I have noticed my clothes are roomier on me though. I took a photo of my face the day after surgery and another yesterday, and I can see that I have lost weight. Just that my tummy hasn't gone down at all. That's not me talking, that's going by measurements and also my clothes!! But then, my tum was always the last thing to be affected, so I'm not too worried.

Part of that tummy is internal swelling. I didn't really get it at the time of banding because the swelling was all hidden underneath the fat. However, last month I had to have a small op to fix a kink in my tube and the surgeon replaced the port while he was at it. The swelling over the next couple of days made me look like I had swallowed a football!! My waistline must have increased by well over 10cm, maybe even 15cm! It was really freaky looking down and seeing that big belly sticking out again, just when I thought I had gotten rid of most of it! It took a good 2-3 weeks before that really went and my waist went back to normal.

Don't forget that with the banding, you will have even more swelling, as there are all those additional small incisions and the band itself with its stitches around your stomach. Measure yourself now (if you haven't already) and then again in a month's time and I'll bet you'll be astounded at the loss of cms!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
