sunsetskies 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Will be the beginning of my journey!!!! I am so excited, I am being banded on November 10th at 8am! I live in Corpus Christi, TX, I am 32 years old and I weigh 261.7 pounds, I have been married for 15 years and have 3 lovely girls and hypertension for 12 of those years. I have been overweight now for about 13 years and I have done it all.... Weight watchers, Jenny Craig, slimfast, Atkins, pills... you name it. Don't get me wrong, I loose the weight very easily, it's just a matter of keeping it off more than 6 months. I love the taste of food and have a hard time feeling full. So those two traits mixed together are a bad combo. I am hoping the band will help me to loose the weight and keep it off. I am on day 3 of my pre-op diet. My nutritionalist has me drinking 4 carnation instant Breakfast (sugar free variety) a day and plenty of Water. So far it is keeping me full and I am doing okay. I am scared and nervous like everyone else and can't wait for the surgery part to be over! Sunset

torjones 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Congrats! I just had my first appointment with my GP within my HMO to discuss the option. He is referring me out to a surgeon to start the process. Any suggestions, recommendations or advice? I am worried about the psych as from this site it looks like tht has thrown a wrench in a lot of people's plans. I would really like to hear what your experience has been. Thanks!
