Daisalana 33 Posted October 28, 2008 First, do we specify male/female when we register? If not, is there a feature we can activate that requires everyone to select a gender.. If so, is there a way to make powder Room/Men's Room gender only? Meaning, only if you are marked male/female you can go into the appropriate areas? I don't consider myself prude, but I general don't like to participate in some of the randy conversation in the powder Room just because where I would be more candid with my lady friends, as a married woman I don't feel it'd be appropriate for men to see some of my responses.
MacMadame 81 Posted October 29, 2008 Would it bother you if men registered as women (i.e., lied) just to see in there? Because I bet some would. I don't participate in those discussions either and I wouldn't even if there was some kind of criteria to get in. You never know who is reading your posts! Daisalana 33 Posted October 29, 2008 Well this is how I look at it-- we can track if someone has 2 accounts on 1 computer, so that's out.. and if it's some random person who seriously found this website just to get their jollies (frankly, that is pretty slim.. they can check out all kind of girlie forums that aren't weight loss specific, and who knew that info would be here? ) but if it's some random person.. doesn't bother me. I'm talking about the friendships I have formed here.. It's fun to talk about girly stuff with girl friends, and yet inappropriate for guy friends to hear it. MacMadame 81 Posted October 29, 2008 We do track dups, but they can just say they are a husband and wife team and we'll say "okay." I just operate on the principle that everything you post on the internet is public. Plus I've been burned before by people playing games on the 'net including dating a guy who also had a made up persona as his hot sister. Now that was a hot mess!
