I am really new and really am interested in how everyone is doing with the lap band. Went to the surgeon today and am waiting for paperwork before scheduling my surgery. I am really excited about it but know that it is going to take work from me for it to be totally successful.:biggrin:

Welcome! I love my band. I have been able to lose weight in the past, but now I have the confidence that it will stay off! I have lost quicker than I expected and it has not been a lot of work. My band is at a good spot. I eat fairly slow, and stop when I'm full. If you overeat, you will throw up. My band was too tight for a while, so I got a little taken out. When it was too tight, I would throw up easy. I was doing that about every other day and was afraid it would slip. My doctor said he has never had one slip, but agreed that it was too tight. I don't get hungry much. I still have a problem with taking too much food, but the band won't let me overeat!
