After 2 1/2 months of not smoking, I have fallen off the wagon. I have been going through alot lately including no weight loss at all. I wasn't gaining but still I wasn't losing either. With personal and family problems, I went back to smoking. :-( Now, I am starting to have problems. I have only been smoking again for a week and for the past 2 days, anything I try to eat, gets stuck. No matter what it is froms eggs, to gravy, to turkey with gravy, it is getting stuck. EVERYTIME!! Could this be due to my starting smoking again?

Yes. Smoking constricts your blood vessels. Can you quit again? Since it's only been a week? I KNOW it's hard to quit (I quit in 1995)

get the patch...get chantix, do whatever to STOP! You can do it; you already did it once!

My husband smoked for 14 years. 3 packs a day, and a couple months ago he went on chantix and has done amazing with it. Insurance covers it so it only cost $20, it is definitely worth it! Good Luck.

Ok-- Even though I am a Gator and you're a TN Vol.. :) QUIT IT! After losing all my grandparents to lung cancer in a 3 year period- I quit 2 years ago (when I was your age-HA!) with the help of Zyban. I had quit completely for about a month--nicotine lozenges helped with the withdrawals. I also was a witness to an accident and aiding in CPR (he was dead already etc-it was horrible and didn't work) and proceded to smoke a billion cigarettes after. I felt so sick and my throat was sooo sore (like after a night out when you chain smoke and feel like you licked an ash tray). I now relive that sick feeling anytime I take a puff. Also--for me- the gross taste the Zyban gave the cigarettes was and is so bad-- it is still bad even when it smells good or I want one. Has never been the same again.

Maybe with a little pharmacutical assistance and remembering choking on gravy will help.
