Excuse you - I oftentimes drop my g's on here. So I had one damn slip up. Sue me! But ahem, I have heard the Texarkana accent so I'm sure my southern is much more charming. <snap>

I actually had a compliment last week. A friend of mine from one of the islands said I didn't have a thick southern accent. I've always tried not to have too thick an accent since Yankees (you know who you are) think they are betta b/c they are not southern.
