tonty 0 Posted October 25, 2008 i was banded on july 18. at the time of surgery, i had lost 30 pounds on pre op diet. since the surgery i have only lost another 10. i have had two fills for a total of 3.5 units on a 15 cc band. i feel some discomfort with improperly chewed food, and i have minimal restriction. exercise has been less than needed due to long work schedule. im hoping this restriction thing happens soon, i havent lost much in the last two months, and still fighting food demons, even though it is still way better than before. would appreciate all advice and support. wrestlingmom 0 Posted October 26, 2008 It sounds like we are in the same boat. I was banded on 7/15/08 and had lost 40 lbs prior to my surgery. In the next month and a half I lost another 15 lbs and have not lost anything in almost 2 months. I have only had one fill, 1cc in a 10 cc band, but it is an 8 hour round trip drive to the doctor and I just had my first fill 2 weeks ago and cannot possibly go back for at least another month being a single mom with a busy work schedule. I am trying to stay positive since I have lost 55 lbs total, but I did 40 on my own and only 15 since my surgery. I am sure that eventually this is going to be OK and I will lose the weight, but it really does get depressing at times. Hopefully we can both hang in there and accomplish what we set out to do. Good luck to you and keep your mind in the game..
jeremiahsmommy 0 Posted October 27, 2008 Don't worry I had the same problem, I was losing maybe, on a good week, a half a pound per week. I got my third fill about 2 weeks ago and losgt 5 pounds, so just hang in there!
Renee74 0 Posted October 27, 2008 We have all been in your boat for sure. I went a whole month with no wieght loss. That turned out to be a loss of saline! Now I have 4 fills and I think I am at my sweet spot now. Just hold on tight and things will work out for you.
