ccmy3boys 0 Posted October 22, 2008 I am a 35 yr old mother of 3, and very happily married. I haven't been myslef in about 6 yrs.. since the weight has been creepy up.. I had heard of lap-band 2 yrs ago and thought I could lose this on my own. Then we found out I have RA. so certain exercises, almost all, hurt my joints. I have been very concerned about recovery time and how it will affect my household... I know I am always thinking of everyone but me. I stumbled upon this site and am looking for some HONEST INPUT!! These seminars seem to forget to tell you all the "good stuff". one of my bff's had it last year and she said no one told her she would be eating monday, then starve on tuessday!! so I just want omake sure I am making the right decision!! thanks for any input.... MacMadame 81 Posted October 24, 2008 You'll get lots of honest input here. Check out the General Support Forum, the Complications forum and the Post-op Forum and see what kinds of things people go through. It's very enlightening.
MustangGirlRN 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Hi and welcome! I'm new here too and have a lot of the same feelings you do. I'm worried about my recovery time and how I'll manage my kids. I don't want them to have to suffer because of me. I'm sure we'll get through it some how. Good luck in your journey.

MustangGirlRN 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Thanks for easing my brain a bit. I'm sure my kids will help me, but their idea of cooking is spaghettios or hot pockets. I think I'll rely on the crock pot a lot to feed them because I'll want as little contact as possible preparing food in the first days.
