Hello Everyone AGAIN

Recommended Posts

Yes, I was a very faithful LBT person. On here everyday of my life 10 times a day. I was trying to help newbies and now I think I need their help.

I lost the first 80 pounds in 6months no problems. Then I started messing with my fills wanting to loose faster, then too tight, not tight enough and I'm a cash patient and 13 round trip to Dr. C's for fills and unfills so not too cheap. Well, my husband of 26 years made the remark that I ought to just have this taken out as it doesn't work no more than anything else and I had just wasted 20,000 cash. Really hurt my feelings so I've decided to just try to jump back on one more time, go back to the basics and when I get the cast off my foot start exercising daily. I will also be on here daily like I was doind when I was succedding. Hope to get to know everyone as all the people that use to be on here I'm not seeing them.

Thanks for listening,

Hugs to you all,

Sherri

It's never to late to get back to basics. And I'd go back to exercise that's not overdoing it. I think where you went wrong was letting yourself get too tight. I hear that's like taking a huge step backwards. The band is only a waste of money if you stop using it like it's meant to be used.

Today is a new day. :grouphug:

80 pounds! That is great! How much would you have paid BEFORE you lost 80 pounds to get that off? Think of how much more healthy you are now... The rest will come! You keep hanging in there! I have been getting pretty frustrated myself lately.. 1/2 pound to 1 pound a week... TAKING FOREVER.. and since I am a NEWBIE, not many people have even noticed a weight change .. have only lost 37 pounds, but I feel GREAT! Don't give up on yourself! ........ and I won't either! Hope to see LESS OF YOU soon!

Sherri! Hey welcome back - like you said and know you have to get back to the basic's - that is life! lol But you know what to do its not like you are starting over or that you gained 80 lbs and now having to get that off again. You realized within yourself that you needed to do this and that is great!

I'm a newbie at this myself - but as you know this site is very helpful and remember to log your daily food/water/exercise intake. I use www.myfitnesspal.com - i have used several of the other journal online's but have found that one to be the most friendly.

Again welcome back and great to nip-it-in-the-bud now!

Luckyfive - that is a great job too! 1/2 to 1 lb week - I think we forget with the band it will be slow.

Keep it up!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
