Got a date for my seminar Nov.18th..Cant wait to attend, since I am wanting to get lapband its a better way then gastric..I am so glad I found lapband talk. so much vital information here...Wish me luck since I know this is only the beginning of my long journey to a happy healthy life

Sommer, good luck to you! It is an exciting journey you are starting. I am new to LBT (just heard about it today) but am 16 months post-surgery and have lost 172 pounds. I cannot even begin to describe how much healthier and more energetic I feel.

I will not be one of those people who say "it's so easy..." etc., but it is well worth the sacrifices and commitment. Good luck! Julie

Hi Julie, I got approved Feb 9-09..I see my doctor on wed/feb-18-09 to get a surgery date..I cant wait..Thks for the words of encouragement..I am excited and nervous at the same time..I will let you know how it goes..
