Will I Be Returning to Work Too Soon?

Recommended Posts

I am a nurse and had surgery on Sept 30th. I ended up having complications and was in the hospital for a week. I never dreamed I would have any problems. I have taken 3 weeks off total and will be returning to work this Monday.

Mine was on a Tuesday, I worked form home Thursday and Friday and was back full time on Monday. I probably could have gone in Friday but I already told everyone I would be out so I just enjoyed it. This is a desk job, I couldn't lift heavy objects like over 50 lbs for about a week or so.

Great post---I have been worrying about the same thing...I'm a teacher and a substitute teacher can take my place while I'm gone, so I don't mind being away from work; however, I didn't want to use up all of my sick days at once and being off a week will do just that. So, I really like the idea another teacher replied to in this thread, which is to work half days for a few days to ease my way in back to work. It will probably be easier to build our bodies up to be being back at work and it may give us enough time to rest so that our healing isn't delayed or hindered anymore than it needs to be.

I had surgery on Tuesday and was back at work on Monday. I could have gone back by Friday, but it was July 4th weekend so I got the benefit of the holiday. Take it slow and don't plan to put in a 12 hour day --especially if you have a commute. Good luck to you. This is the best decision I've ever made.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
