Need help with SPANX...a little off topic, sorry

They even showed me how to pee with them on (you can't wear undies with them)
Don't tell me that, I guess. I always wear underwear with mine. Wouldn't think of going without.

They told me not to wear undies - because - everytime you pull your Spanx down - you reduce the life of it dramatically. So once you put it on - you aren't supposed to pull them down till you are ready to take them off. I have FINALLY mastered the Spanx Pee :-)

It wasn't nearly as complicated as I thought it was going to be. :-)

Spanx are crotchless and you don't wear panties - so when you sit to tinkle, you pull on the outside of your bottom thigh area and it keeps the "Opening" wide and out of the way.

God, that is a visual, I really don't think anyone needed!!!

I just wanted to add that I too love Spanx - I wear them all the time - word to the wise - don't buy the 70$ pair that hang - buy the 36$ pair that are in a box like pantyhose - they will last you 3-6 months and are much more elastic (hold everything in better) than the more expensive one. (both are spanx, just different options). I wear the kind that go above the knees and up to just below the bra. DONT lie when you are buying them. They only work if you are truthful on your weight and height. My first pair - I bought too small (thinking I will lose weight fast) I did, but the first couple times I wore them - it stretches them out. If they are too big - they won't hold everything in.

I def suggest going to Lane Bryant and talking to the ladies there - I guarantee they will all be wearing them too!!!

Good luck and have fun!

It depends where your problem spot is, I guess, but although I have a jiggly bum, I cannot bear wearing any of these garments, they actually make me feel sick after an hour or two and weirdly they trigger sciatic pain for me too. Its only worth it for me to wear them under a slinky dress for a special occasion. So truthfully, I would only buy ONE item and see how you go.

But I am addicted to the camisole tops. Usually, that's where I'll have a problem - if I want to wear a really stretchy fitted top, the lovehandles and slight belly jiggle will ruin it. One of those tops smooths everything out.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
