Grilled Chicken/ Band Friendly

Recommended Posts

Ok I don't know how many of you out there have any trouble finding that perfect way of cooking your chicken to be honest it took me 2 years to figure out the best way for me to make it, and be able to easily eat it with the band. So what I do is take my boneless skinless chicken breast and beat it yes beat it half to death lol which makes for tenderness, I then take a good steak knife and poke holes all in it (don't worry all you folks once marrinated and grilled the chicken draws up don't be afraid to beat it up before cooking I promise it will draw back up just don't go overboard) after the holes buy you some marrinade you can use italian dressing or several other marrinades that look like salad dressings but I use the herb and garlic by various companys whoever is cheaper. ok so let it marrinate as long as possible at least 4 hrs anything over is great. Then I use various seasonings you can use your imagination on this but the marrinade is really all the flavor you need . But after that slap them babies on the top side of the grill cook them fast don't leave them on too long or you will have chicken jerkey but if you pull them off in the rite amount of time BAM@! perfect juicy full of flavor chicken off the grill!:smile2:

For grilling: brush with miracle whip, it seals in the moisture of the chicken while grilling.

I also put it in my Turbo Cooker and it is tender and very good. The best thing about it is that you use Water to "fry" it in the turbo cooker so there is no fat added while cooking! Very good.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
