Any advice in particular? Coz the best advice I ever got was "Don't eat yellow snow". Not sure if that helps or not :)

Lapband wise you'll be fine. The op is really quick, just prepare yourself for about a week of discomfort. Make sure you take every painkiller they let you and if they give you the option of a couple of nights in hospital take it!

The only advice I would give is make sure you have all the correct liquid foods at home so you dont have to go out shopping later on.

Make sure everything is easily accessible so that you dont have to do excessive bending or stretching.

Your stomach will be quite sore for a week or so, so you dont want to cause yourself extra pain.

I dont know if your a light sleeper, but I took ear plugs to hospital, even with the pain killers, I was wide awake all night, until the ear plugs went in.

Maybe take a book? Don't know what you are like as a sleeper, but I'm going through an interrupted sleep/insomnia right now, so I'll be taking a book just in case. Totally agree with Ange05. Make sure you have every conceivable thing you'll need before the op. I've done my shopping, its all waiting in the kitchen. Got myself some Protein powder today, so I can add it to Clear liquids and such, to make sure I get enough. Now its just count down time for me.

Good luck.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
