I'm in California, but there are a lot of people in all areas that are here and willing to visit and answer questions. So don't give up on us. When did you, or when are you having your lap-band. showmepat 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Hi, I'm from Lenexa and am scheduled for November 24th with Dr. Hitchcock. I have gone to a support group that meets at New Hope, where I"ll have my surgery. Anyone can go to the group, so let's try to meet at the next support group meeting in November, you don't have to be banded there to go. I'm 51 years old, 5'2" and 250 lbs, bmi 44 or so. annjones 3 Posted October 24, 2008 Hey there! I'm in Wyandotte County and Dr. Hoehn will be doing my surgery as well. I have my first apt with him on November 24th. I've not attended the support group yet but I am planning to next month. I've been meeting with Dr. Sabapathy and we have been, besides other things, discussing Lap band vs Sleeve. I'm very excited and hopefull about finally loosing weight and keeping it off. I've gone up and down for most of my adult life but the ups have been more than the downs..so my weight has gone up alot. I joined LBT and still am reading, reading, reading...
