FYI- Super Tight after fill that was done over 2 months ago...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just wanted to share a bit of info I learned after I had an extreme bout of SUPER tightness. I had a fill at the beginning of August of .3 ccs in a VG band just to 'top me off' and keep me in my sweet spot. I was in my sweet spot after said fill, went on vacation, ate as a normal Banded person would do and experience no ill effects. After returning home, I started taking my Adderall for ADD again, and began to take it more regularly than I had been previously. I became super tight, unable to keep hardly any food down, and being cautious with EVERYTHING I ate, defaulting to Soups, etc while I tried to see if the tightness would resolve itself or if I needed an unfill. While talking to my friend Julie, who had the band put in on the same day as me, she told me how a nurse had told her that tightness can be due to dehydration. I always pump fluids while on Adderall, but apparently, not enough. I took a few days off the meds, pumped fluids like CRAZY, and I can eat again! Just wanted to share, for those of you that have an unexplained tightness that arises long after the fill... It may be dehydration, and try to pump the fluids... it might help!

Interesting.... i had an unfill back in July after I'd been to up to Queensland for a fun run. I could barely eat for weeks before that and the weekend, I ate hardly anything, not PBing and miserable, but just unable to eat much and everything hurt a bit. So I had an unfill, and I'm wide open now even though it was only .2cc. Maybe all the training I'd been doing had some impact?

I also find if I've gone without eating for hours and hours - like six hours between lunch and dinner, then I can barely eat. Maybe that's dehydration too. I'm not the best Water drinker, I tend to live on coffee.

I love coffee too... and I try to be 'good' cause with the Adderall and caffeine, I can really get dried out... I'll bet if you really concentrate on your Fluid intake over the next few days, you'll notice a difference in your restriction. Let me know... I'm interested to hear if others have the same experience. I'd never heard of that before, and really thought dehydration would do the opposite... I haven't seen much about it on the boards and hope it helps...

OK, I will test the theory. It certainly cant hurt!

I've tested the Protein theory and debunked that one for myself personally, smelly gas anyone? Eeeeeeew. Lots of Protein makes me feel crap, bloated, gassy and lethargic.

But perhaps a lot of Water will get rid of these awful undereye circles too.

Jackut. I don't do well with high Protein either. I get bloated and gassey and so constipated I can't move. It's miserable. I recently got uncharacteristically tight after a long 4 day weekend away with girlfriends at a retreat. I ate very well, lots of veggies, etc. but wasn't drinking my Water as I should. When I got home I PB'd 9 times in one week. Prior to that it was only twice in 10 months!!! I lost 4 pounds that week, but couldn't eat a thing. Three bites and I was in the bathroom. Dehydration hadn't occured to me. that was three weeks ago, and I'm still tight off and on, but I have to say, I have also been enjoying a glass of wine in the evening more often than usual, and I know alcohol can dehydrate you. I'm going to test this theory as well. Seems plausible to me. Let me know how you do with your experiment.

Just an FYI- I tried this again the 'opposite' way, taking my meds and not pumping fluids. I can barely eat again. LOL. I will spend the weekend off the meds and I guarantee, I'll be back to the 'perfect spot' on Monday. :)

Definately, intensive working out without adequate Water always makes me really, really tight. If I run or go spinning I need to start drinking a ton of water early in the day if I have any chance of eating and food afterwards.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
