mousecrazy 2 Posted July 15, 2005 Hi Bonnie! Nice to meet you! I've learned lots from reading everything on these boards! Now, I have to admit sometimes I forget what I've read, but these nice people are willing to repeat it, thank goodness! Good luck! Cindy

mousecrazy 2 Posted July 15, 2005 Do you mind my asking your age? I teach high school kids, and love them...not in a weird way, of course!:alien I just think kids (young adults?) are cool! I guess I'd have to...I've been teaching 27 years, and about to start my 28th!

Joyce in VA 0 Posted July 16, 2005 For all you guys who are about to be banded this month I want to wish you lots of luck. I am glad I have mine and am on the up side. I have lost about 10 pounds so far. I am not really hungry. When I am a cup of Soup or a Slim Fast Low Carb drink feels me up. I can hardly beleive that. I beleive the drinks cause alot of the gas and not the surgery. I told my hubby I guess I am getting too many Vitamins. My body does not know how to react to that. So keep plenty of gas-x on hand. Also for you ladies remember to buy you a sports bra. I did not think of that until after. The surgery itsel is not that bad. After a couple of days you will feel so much better. I think I feel better because I am not putting all that food into my body. If I can be of any help let me know. Joyce

2aslimmerme 0 Posted July 17, 2005 Thanks for the welcome Mousecrazy. I have not figured out how to start a new thread, help. I wondered if anyone had experienced fingers going numb before surgery, just from being over weight? I have noticed this the last few months it has started. I am 3 days into liquid pre op diet, doing OK.
