I need a Diet

Not to be on... To do research on for school. I have to write a paper on some kind of Diet, well not really a paper but I have to answer questions. Anyway It has to be something with lots of information I can research. And something I dont have to join to research. I have to answer questions like: Does it include all the food groups, Does it have a calorie level? Does it give reliable information? Do the credentials..... questions like that... wooooo fun huh!!!

So past dieters.. give me your best!

1. Adkins

2. South Beach

3. cabbage diet

4. duke university rice diet

5. grapefruit diet

And today I went to the Vitamin shoppe and they had,I kid you not,

The Makers Diet, it is based on what they ate in the bible. Here is a link to it:

I recently read that the southbeach diet had the least amount of rebound effect. (basically that people were less like to gain back as much of their weight with it.) Weight watchers is one too, if you have ever been a member or know anyone that has they have TONS of info in all that stuff they give you. (WW is the one I have had the most sucess with in my 22 years of dieting)

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
