Hi! I am from Pineville, and had my surgery in Lafayette, self pay as well. I am 29, and had the lap band done on July 22nd. My daughter is 4 as well. Good luck with everything! :teeth_smile:

Hey La gals! I'm Danielle and I live in Hessmer, La, (30 miles south of Alexandria) and I will get my official band date next week. Are there any support groups close to here? I will be banded in Lafayette, (Dr Stevens) and that is a little drive for a meeting only. I would appreciate any help. By the way I also have a 4 year old girl!! (I have a 8 year old boy and 3 girls ages 6,4,and 2!)

Hey! I'm in Alex, LA. Weird to see so many Loozeyanians. Dr. Merriman did my band almost 2 years ago. I've lost 70 pounds and I've had zero complications. YAY! Nice to meet you guys and I'll see you around!

Dr. Merriman is in Shreveport. Found him through word of mouth. I couldn't have asked for a better aftercare program.
