Hello all I just wanted to ask a question. I wear spanks from lane Bryant and I were them all the time. If and when I get banded can I still were them? Because these babies are a life saver they really hold you in and make things look smooth. I wish I knew about them when I had my son because the girdle thing I could not do all day, but spanks I could do! So my question again is can you were them after being band? Will it hurt the band? Will it move out of place? Thanks to who ever answer this thread because I know your advice will be honest……

I had the band for 22 months, up until 9.17 and was able to wear Spanx. No problem. I personally preferred body briefers, but this is a personal preference. I found that after lapband surgery, my underwire bras sometimes were uncomfortable. Best regards

I too wear Spanx and was banded on Aug. 27. By the way, Sara Blakely, Spanx's creator has a more affordable line at Target called Assets. FYI

I was just about to post the same thing! I love the target line by Blakely.

I just looked at target.com, but the sizing information leaves a lot to be desired. What kind of sizing are we talking about? The website said for my height and weight a 5, but of course, they don't come in numbered sizes. I am so confused..

I've found that the Target version of Spanx just doesn't hold up as well. I bought a set, and they ripped within a few weeks. It could just be that I'm too rough on them, but I far prefer the more expensive ones. They turn out to be a better investment IMHO.

I had never thought about that. It makes sense. I really like the blakely tights from target. They hold up pretty well. Have you tried them?

I was banded 1/19/07. I bought a Spanx camisole from QVc after first trying the Target brand. For everyday or very regular wear, I personally recommend the Spanx brand.

I have tried the assests at target, and like them. The only thing I can sau about them is that after a few hours of the day the panty that I had on would roll down and move out of place.. Could have been the wrong size. I hear a lot of great things about Spanx however, and I am looking forward to trying them, if I can use my coupons from Lane Bryant.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
