Wait. Everyone I talk to says that you lose one dress size for every 10lbs you lose. This has held pretty true to my weight lost. How did you lose 30 lbs and go down 10 dress sizes?

I'm calling bull. :smile2:

But congratz on your weight loss.

Excuse me but that was kind of rude remark!! In womens size it aint 10 sizes ...it it goes 14/16 18/20 22/24 26/28 so 30 lbs could of gotten her to that..there are key factors here if she doesnt have any muscle fat squeezes into clothes better than when u have muscle it all depends on her frame...so take back what u said and be happy for her!! GREAT JOB!!!!

I'm not real sure how i could cheat to lose weight faster, if i knew that i'd of done it years ago, ha ha . I don't know, but i find my weight loss real weird too. I'm short 5ft. and i lost all those sizes without a real hugh weight loss??? now my decrease in measurments has slowed and the scale is starting to drop? in the late 90's i lost about 50 lbs on attkins, and the top half shrunk way quicker than the bottom half, and the scale went down quicker than the sizes did too.( it all came back plus) This time i am shrinking at the same rate, top and bottom, but measurments first, now weight??? i am eating a balanced diet, counting calories, and cycling them. One day i'll eat 900 calories lots of protien , the next i'll eat 1200 calories and more good carbs, the next i'll have 1600 calories and try to balance it out evenly. Like that. I also use my Daily plate.com, it is such a hel[p for me. Plus i am more active, and drinking lots of Water and green tea.

GREAT JOB! Could it be you lost more inches and gained muscle so thats why you can fit in a smaller size? 30 lbs can make a world of a difference to what you can fit into. I hope to have the same success as you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
